Those on WM6 for the Eten Glofiish X500 would know that the forgetful PIN and POP3 accounts are a pain in the behind that has bothered a good number of users. Me? Well I do not use either so I can’t really say much. But for those of you who have such a problem, your prayers have been answered :D

  1. Download this file and unzip the 2 cab files inside
  2. Delete any existing POP3 mail account and PIN Code on your device
  3. Copy the 2 cab files to My Device folder in your device
  4. Install the “glofiish_X500series_battery_patch.cab” to device memory. DO NOT SOFT RESET
  5. Next install “glofiish_POP3_PIN_patch.cab” to device memory. SOFT-RESET

Thanks to TrendsMobile for the file and instructions.

Hi phreaker18

You sure are lucky. I too do not have any PIN enabled but I do not use email on my device as yet. I wonder what is causing these problems because Eten can’t seem to fix them.

Just tested “glofiish_X500series_battery_patch.cab” on my X500+ (ROM WWE 543) - doen’t work!
My company IT policy installs a simple pin on my device after syncronizing with MSExchange. Removing a battery causes my device to forget pin.
The only solution for me is to use SpbBackup to full-backup to microSD. Works fine.

Hi Mike

It was not meant to work because it’s meant to work only on WM5 if I remembered correctly. At the moment, I am not sure what is causing the forgotten PIN problem when battery is removed.
