Controlling your PDA from a laptop or desktop can be really productive, especially if you have to do a lot of data entry such as entering information from a business card replying to text messages. What I like about such programs is that not only are they great with data entry, but I can easily do screen captures, something which is a common feature on this blog.

Up till recently, I have always recommended SOTI Pocket Controller v6 for the task. It allows you to connect automatically via USB Cable when you have an ActiveSync connection as well as through WIFI. Besides the basic tasks, you can also record videos, make registry changes and even check the PDA’s stats, all from the same program. But at $35.95, it was expensive for those looking for a simple program.

So when My Mobiler came into the picture, I decided to give it a go. Sure, you can’t do as much as Pocket Controller but at a price of $0.00, you can’t exactly ask for more. But fortunately, My Mobiler does give you more. Not only does it handle the same types of connections as Pocket Controller as such ActiveSync and WIFI, it allows for copying and pasting text between PDA and computer, capturing of computer screen and best of all, it allows you to drag and drop files into your PDA.

My Mobiler v1.0

Currently at v1.0, it supports WM2003 all the way to WM6. So the next time you need to do large data entry or just simply want to control your PDA from your computer, don’t forget about My Mobiler.

Very nice review…I also recently reviewed this application, and would recommend it for basic control of your WM device.
