Hi brad

Yes it should work since it is very similar to the X500. Do try and let me know if it works for you.

There have been reports that it works. As for the 3.9GB file, I am not too sure about that but then again, what kind of file that big would you want to load on your device? There are those who have filled up the card to the brim and it still works and is able to read the data on it so I suppose it does work.

How about the X500+ does it work on it too?
have people also done full read write tests on it? I remember reading something about data getting corrupted... so it would be cool if there is a small .net app to create a large 3.9GB file with random data and then to verify it, and then to write new random data (in random order).
keep us posted.

Great to hear your update :D I too am not sure why some would want to use a smaller card. Maybe use it dedicated for TomTom?

I just downloaded and installed the driver on my Eten X500, my 4GB sandisk SDHC card works perfectly, I tried my old 2GB Micro SD card back in and that still works pefectly well although why you would need a smaller capacity card again is hard to imagine,

So far, those who have tested an X500 with the 4GB micro SDHC have claimed that it will work. If the card is a 2.0 (and not a 3.0), and you have the patch installed, it should work too. Why not try it out before purchasing it?

Ok the 8GB micro SDHC cost $140

I will gladly spent that money IF the X500+ works with that

Does anybody knows if it really works?

Well if you are going to be using the same card, I would not recommend installing it. Why fix something that isn't spoilt? But if you are getting a new card, by all means, go ahead. You can always un-install it if it doesn't work. The patch is still new and being tested so I am not really sure the extent of the operations but so far, things are looking good generally.
