Hi Debbie

You can uninstall MDesk at at the moment, I am unable to provide you with a screen shot (as I have uninstalled it too) but no programs will be affected so feel free to remove it.

I am using X800, I have uninstalled several ETEN pre-installed software including :
1) Eten Backup Utility 3.2
2) ETEN AddRingtone 1.0
3) Eten Location SMS

I decide to uninstall ETEN MDesk also, as mentioned in the above articles, MDesk is a launcher-type program, would anyone tell what the launcher is ? Any photo showing the launcher for my reference ? If I uninstall it, any programe be affected also ?

Thanks.

The files will not appear unless you do a hard reset and stop the customization process.

As for the ROM, no one has been able to find it, yet, but I guess it is just a matter of time. The problem is that Eten calls the ROM differently.

I don't find the peri_* files (using G500 with WWE 110). Is there a tool like HTC has, to unlock and unhide the extended rom?

hi phreaker18, I believe these files can be deleted safely. I deleted mine and saved about 10 MB. They can be reinstalled back from the Application Recovery Tool. :)

i just wanted to share something that i have done on my x500 to free up storage space !!
if u use a File Explorer like total commander (free) or Resco Explorer then the files in ur ROM become visible to u.. and in the /Windows directory u will find a series of file having the prefix of PERI_*(filename)... i moved these to the external storage and that freed up a lot of space !! these r the applications that come with the ROM and is used by the Application Utility !!
