Post Roundup for the Week Ending Sepetember 22nd 2007
Sep 22nd, 2007 by Tariq Bamadhaj
This has got to be one of the busier weeks at Eten Blog dot Com but it’s been a great week nonetheless.
Sunday
In trying to get more readers to this blog, I did my weekly Link Love which links to other sites in the field of gadgets and technology. Some really interesting articles this week which I would recommend you to check if you have not done so.
There was also an oversight on my part concerning the last DinarSoft MemMaid giveaway with regards to the number and types of prizes available. It has been sorted out and this week, we are giving away TapText, also from DinarSoft. You still have 1 more day to take part if you have not already done so. Later that day, a winner for the DinarSoft MemMaid giveaway was picked. Were you the one?
Monday
Free space on Main Memory is a very precious thing to all of us. Even more so when we only have a 128MB ROM which makes our Main Memory even smaller. I launched a series of post to help you free up space by removing Eten applications. Part I showed you how to do it from a hard reset while Part II tackled the problem from your current setup.
A review for the Eten Glofiish X800 came to light and this time it’s in English. Woot!!!!
Tuesday
A question that you usually consider with devices is which ROM you should run. Is the latest always the best? In the case of Eten Glofiish, should you go with WM5 or WM6? This issue was discussed and my thoughts were given.
Based on yesterday’s post on removing Eten applications to free up space, I received quite a number of emails and comments from the readers with regards to suggestions and queries. So it was only appropriate if I did a Part III on the series.
Also, the winnner of the latest DinarSoft MemMaid giveaway decided to give up his prize as he already has one. I am still not sure what to do with the prize and am seeking your opinion on it.
Wednesday
I start this day with a review of SBSH’s Pocket Breeze, a software that might be familiar to some of you. If you have yet to hear about it, I would recommend you read the review and find out why you should get a hold of one.
Freeing up Main Memory by removing Eten applications was a hot topic this week but just how much space can you save? I decide to find out by doing a couple of hard resets and tabulating the data. Did the numbers surprise you?
Thursday
The GPS chip on my Eten Glofiish X500 does not just tell me my co-ordinates or help me get from Point A to B with a navigational software. It also allows me to geotag my photos and let me know exactly where I took them later on.
There’s only so much ideas I can come up with to improving this blog and I would like you to help me out. What do you think are some of the areas I can improve on? Let it be known and it might just be implemented.
