Received quite a couple of emails asking me how to use DinarSoft’s MemMaid to clear their unused alarms. I’ll be runnign MemMaid in Advance Mode so if you are not already on that mode, I would advice you to switch to it. Not to worry, you can always switch back after the process.

First up, launch the main program MemMaid and tap on Jump To > Databases > Notification Que. Scroll down the list until you see the heading Classic Time Based : X (where X is any number).

DinarSoft MemMaid Notification Queue

From the list above, I have 27, of which 21 are for my daily alarms. That’s because I use all 3 alarms and set them to go off everyday. If you are using fewer alarms, then your total for daily alarms will adjust accordingly. The other items in this list for me are Calendar.Exe events which are my alarms for appointments. You will not have to touch this.

Now select one of the alarms that you want to delete. You will see the screen change similar to something below:

DinarSoft MemMaid Aalrm Properties

This window will show you the characteristics of the alarm. Even though it says its a daily alarm, it is actually set to go off on only one day. Which day? I am not sure. You can confirm that this is the alarm that you want to delete by comparing the description and time.

So How Do I Delete The Exact Alarm?

Because it does not list the day, my best bet is for you to head over to the generic alarm software and remove all the alarms. Then run MemMaid and follow the steps above and delete all the alarms for Windows\clock.exe. Once done, do a soft reset, then head back to the generic alarm software and rebuild your alarm list. That will ensure that all alarms that go off now are those that you want.

What other methods do you have for clearing your alarm list?
