Yesterday, I did a series of posts (actually just 2) on how to remove Eten applications. Part I covered the hard reset method while Part II covered steps on how to go about it without a hard reset. Thus I did not plan for a Part III as I thought I had everything covered.
However, I […]

Which ROM Should I Run?

A new ROM usually means better performance and functions for the device. So if one does come out tomorrow, shouldn’t we all upgrade it as soon as we can? Apparently that does not seem to be the case when it comes to Eten Glofiish users deciding between the WM5 or WM6 flavor. Just like with […]

First the good news. 4GB (and higher capacities) memory cards are now possible on the Eten Glofiish X500 (and possibly all other Glofiish devices) thanks to a patch. Depending on which ROM version you are using, you might face some problems so […]

It appears that a recent post of mine on the GSM and WiFi of the upcoming Eten Glofiish X800 not being capable of usage at the same time appears to be just another strategy of Eten. The company is actually stating that one cannot use GSM and WiFi at the same time so as to […]

When you first buy your PDA or do a hard reset, don’t you just love the speed and how snappy your device seems? That’s how I felt with my Eten Glofiish X500. I thought it was due to the highly touted Samsung SC32442 processor clocked at 400MHz. But after several weeks of using it, the […]

I have been using my Eten Glofiish X500 for quite some time now and have been really happy with its stability. But the one cosmetic problem that never seems to get fixed is the green LED that refuses to light up after a full charge. So what happens is when you connect your device for […]

GSM And WiFi Not Possible On X800?

It appears that in getting approval from the FCC, Eten has stated the soon-to-be launched X800 cannot have both GSM and WiFi enabled at the same time. If this is indeed true, it would definitely be a step backward for this device.
You can read more about it from the manual here as well as see […]

A little while back, I wrote a post saying that 4GB was not possible on the X500 due to the lack of driver support for SDHC as well as the architecture for cards above 2GB.
Fortunately, I am now proven wrong because the good folks over at Eten-Users Forum have finally found a solution and tested […]
