A Service By A Reader For The Readers
Oct 10th, 2007 by Tariq Bamadhaj
If you are located in the United States and your Eten device is in need of repair, here’s a piece of good news. One of the readers here at Eten Blog dot Com has volunteered to help you get your devices repaired and ensures that it is working before shipping it back to you. I am not sure he caters to the overseas market as well but you could always drop him a note to find out. Here’s his post:
I will appreciate if you can put this in your main page. I am Xavier Baez a real geek in Eten Glofiish X500+, I contributed with the “CabInstall” comment and helped users understand a bit more about memory, MMS settings and such.
However, I had a problem with my Eten head phone jack, the item is working in perfectly condition, and I am sad I need to sell this for $400 on Ebay since I attempted to sell this device with the bad head phone jack in order to buy a new phone
However, if I drive 25 minutes, I can repair these phones in an HOUR! So I’m actually selling this service, check it out, and please put this in your main page!
Please tell me more info in how to contact you ok?

Good to know there is such service.
I use a BT stereo headset with mic, so that little hole is a waste.
Also, 89.99 + postage is almost paid for a good BT stereo headset.
Hi xatrixer
Actually this service is useful for those who prefer to use the wired headset. Some BT headset don’t give good quality when you making calls.
The problem with the jack is that Eten uses a poor quality one and I suppose when you send it for repair, they replace it with a much better, higher quality one.
this is what I have:

Hi xatrixer
This definitely looks like a great piece of hardware. I wonder how the voice quality is like when you use this to make calls. Does it have DSP or anything similar to cut out environmental noise?
