Find out how the Glofiish M800 by Eten fares

The last weekend has been a really busy one for me. I have been doing quite a bit of changes around here and they are still in the works. I guess this will be a continuous ongoing process so do bear with me. Here are some changes:

Ads. This has got to be the biggest change so far. I have started to introduce ads in hope of covering expenses for this blog as well as to help this blog grow. I am currently experimenting the different ad services so what you see today might be gone or changed tomorrow. The ads served on this blog will be random and I will try as much as possible to show those that are related.

For example, post 1, 3 and 5 on the main page have Google Ads embedded in them and this ads are related to the post so if I am talking about Eten Glofiish X800, then there will be ads about them. Some of this ads might be giving you great discounts or introduce you to a great service so you never know what’s in store.

At the end of each post, there are also ads by AuctionAds. These are actually eBay auction listings that are happening ‘live’ and if you see something you like, you can always click on it to take part. I have set the ads to show only Eten related auctions so you will not see an auction for a cooking book or milk bottles

Post Ratings. At the end of every post, you will see 5 stars. You can now rate individual posts so if you like it, give it more stars. And if you do not, give it less. This will help me cater the blog to the readers by offering you posts that you like and working on my weakness.

Links. The links in the main body of this blog has been changed to blue. I thought it would be easier for readers to see such links and click on them if they want to. The previous set up of green with a dashed brown line somehow made the links merge with the posts so I thought this would be better.

Relocation of Avatars. For readers who are also MyBlogLog and BlogCatalog users, I have placed the avatars of recent visitors at the bottom of the page. Somehow it looks better there though I am also considering putting it at the top of the page, just below the image header.

Well that’s about the changes made over the weekend. I will be making more changes over the next couple of days. Do let me know what you think of these changes so far.

P.S. Adrian, sorry I have not changed the color of the comments as you suggested. I am not too sure how to do it but if you would like to help, I am all ears :D

 Boy am I surprised to see my name right at the end of the post!
If no one else has mentioned about the colors of the comments, let’s leave it as it is because it doesn’t really affect me much. On another hand, the color of the links which you’ve changed to blue has definitely made it easier to spot “a link” now.

Hi Adrian

Well I take each suggestion given to heart and see if it can be done. This blog is about experimenting as I don’t have much knowledge about web-based designs so I felt that getting input from the readers would help me make up for it :D

hi! sorry but since we’re on the point of colors, can you make the blue for links lighter? sorry but it’s still pretty hard to read, maybe it’s because i’m using firefox? although the current blue still merges with the black way too much. thanks!

Hi Joyce

I’ll look into this. No worries about it.
