Find out how the Glofiish M800 by Eten fares
Powered by MaxBlogPress

If you are using iGO on your Eten Glofiish with an SDHC card, you might have noticed some problems with the device, such as it only being able to run for a couple of minutes before shutting down. Reason: Low memory Hardware ID. Well there seems to be a fix for this which you might interesting. Thanks to hamkeng from Eten Users forum who pointed this out:

Happy Days!

I’m very satisfied with my Glofiish using my new 4Gb sdhc card.
The only problem was that my iGo did not work anymore.

But thanks to the pxdxa-forum, now iGo WORKS ON SDHC.
You will find the solution here:
http://www.pxdxa.com/read.php?tid=45832

It works with this newest version
http://www.pxdxa.com/read.php?tid=41488&am…ead=&page=1
Read the posts, and you will find some extra stuff for iGO.

iGo has not yet provided a fix themselves for this issue,
so the solusion is a cracked file.

This is the end of my iGO nagging.

This should work with all Eten Glofiish devices using the SDHC patch as well so if you have one, you might want to give it a shot.

This is hamkeng.
I’m sorry to tell you that this post you’re reffering to, was about iGo not working on sdhc card due to the “hardware ID” error.
This has nothing to do with the memory issue of iGo.
When sdhc was intoduced iGo did not work on them.

I have Eten glofiish X500. As you know, this is a qvga device.
iGo is running smoothly with app. 18Mb free memory on my Eten.
What memory issues you could have with X800, due to the vga screen, I can only imagine.
This is why I keep away from VGA devices without add in graphic card.
Nothing yet has convinced me to buy X800.

Maybe som better attension too the Eten-forum could have prevented
this misunderstanding.

Hi hamkeng

Thanks for visiting. Yes it does appear that I have made an error and will correct it right away. Thanks for pointing it out. I was following another thread and got this mixed up. Thank you once again.
