I am not sure when but I will check with Xavier on that. He damaged his device and is in the process of getting it fixed the last time I heard.

Hi, I thinking about to get one (X800). I really intrested about the GPS test results. When we can expect it?
I also downloaded your VOIP test result mp3 , but could not say the quality is "excellent" I rather say it is wrong.
I read in an other review when you get an incoming call (GSM) the first 2-3" is muted so the other person cannot hear anything, did you experinced that?
THX

Hi Paul

I am not sure about being able to accept calls when running as a mass storage but my experience with the X500 is that it is able to.

Great stuff, the X800 seems near perfect for my purposes. One thing though; can it accept incoming calls while being hooked up to the computer as a mass storage device?

Hi Michael

Yes Skype is now at v2.2.0.36 but that version does not support calls for Samsung-based processors so I would not advice using it. Let me check Skype Switch and let you know.

Really helpful review. The files you list to make Skype work all have links to the download area except Skype Switch.cab. Where do I get that file. Also Skype 2.2.0.36 (non-beta) is now available. Have you tried that? Thanks.

Great review of X800, I just got mine on Tuesday, and have had to reset it once so far because I can't for the life of me figure out how to connect to T-Mobile's Tzone (WAP). I subscribe to this service on my T-Mobile account, but the directions provided on their site did not help. If you can help me with this configuration, I'd be so grateful.
I've installed Skype from link provided in this forum and it works like a charm when I connect using WiFi at home. However, I'd like to be able to check my web emails when I'm out and about, without having to shell another $30 per month for T-Mobile's Internet service. Please, please help me.

Thanks.

I don't have the X800...but your suggestion with the font cache worked so well on my Toshiba pocketpc (which is also VGA) that I just wanted to thank you.
It really speeds up the device.

The SkypePhone certainly takes the configuration time out of current smartphone with VoIP set-up and takes advantage of 3 networks cheaper calling plans but it does not have the same appeal or hype surrounding the iPhone.
