Best Software Awards 2007

Smartphone and Pocket PC Magazine just recently released the name of the winners of their annual award contests. The list is a long one and can be viewed by the various categories that interest you. Do check out this year’s winners and see how they stack up against each other. I use this list extensively, especially when shopping for new software and I think it would serve you well too.

emoze Upgrades to v1.5

If you are a user of emoze, a free push-mail service, then you will be pleased to know that their software has recently been upgraded to v1.5. Among the improvements are lower data traffic consumption and previewing of images before downloading them to your device. If you have not already done so, head over to emoze and start your downloads.

MPlayer Comes To Windows Mobile

If you are a Linux user, then you might have used MPlayer, which is arguably one of the most powerful and versatile players available for the platform. Now, thanks to amitv_17 from XDA Developers Forum, you can enjoy the software on your Pocket PC as well. It’s still early in development if you ask me but does look promising.
