Find out how the Glofiish M800 by Eten fares

Recommended Software

There seems to be a flurry of activities over at Eten Corp with them releasing quite a number of files and devices recently. I am not sure why but if Eten keeps this, then maybe the X800 will get fixed even faster than assumed. The latest of the patch files to be released by them is one that allows you to use SDHC cards on your Eten Glofiish devices. No longer would you have to rely on the unofficial patch that was created by HTC to use SDHC cards on your Glofiish devices.

However, it seems this patch has one problem. When installed, you can no longer use normal SD cards on your Glofiish devices. If you are only planning to use SDHC cards with your device, then you can go ahead and use it. However, if you will be switching between normal and SDHC cards, then you might want to wait for an update. Eten Corp has been notified of this so it’s only a matter of time.

For those who are looking for this official patch, here it is.

Thanks to DDK from Eten-Users Forum for the heads up.

Update: According to PJMDS, this patch does not work for the M700. Instead he recommends another patch which works for him. The patch can be downloaded from RapidShare. It looks like the patch he recommended is the one we have been hosting on this site for a while which came from HTC. For that patch, you can download it here.

I can’t find any mention to this “Official” software at the etencorp site, are you 100% certain this came from etencorp ?

If it’s really official that’s great news because I’m wainting for one 4G SDHC to arrive

Hi PJMDS

Yeah it’s official according to DDK. There are some errors though so I guess Eten will release an update when it’s fixed.

Tariq,

have you heard if this official patch is compatible with X500+ as well?

Hi Daniel

This patch is suppose to be for all Glofiish devices and that includes the X500+ as well. Just that it has some bugs at the moment.

Hi PJMDS

Thanks for the heads up. It looks like the patch you are talking about is the one from HTC which we had introduced several weeks back on this blog. I don’t think this latest official patch by Eten is complete as some work definitely needs to be done on it.
