First English Review Of Eten Glofiish M800
Nov 28th, 2007 by Tariq Bamadhaj
I never expected the Eten Glofiish M800 to be reviewed so soon considering that the X800 was just released a couple of weeks back. If you were undecided between getting the M800 or the TyTnII, then this review from TrustedReviews might just help you out. It comes with some nice photos as well. Launch dates for this device have yet to be announced but it seems that Expansys will have them in stock on January 25th 2008. Price-wise, it seems to be just slightly more expensive than the X800 currently but who knows, that might all change when it is actually launched.

I’ve been waiting for the M800 to ship (even placed my order with Expansys a couple of weeks ago). It was disappointing to read the reviewer’s complaints about the M800’s physical interface. How similar are the M800’s buttons and joystick to the X800’s? Are the comparable? If so, do his complaints ring true?
Thanks in advance.
Mark
Hi Mark
It’s hard to say because I have yet to experience the M800 myself nor do I know anyone who has one. When I first got my X500, the review for the joystick too was not favorable but I have learnt to adapt to it and now I am pretty happy with it. I doubt that the M800 would be shipping anytime soon so you might still have some time to wait for other reviews to come out.
I read that the X800 might arrive in USA December 5
Do you know when will the X800+ arrive?
Will it have 128MB of RAM?
The “almost” perfect device (until they keep using those cheap components for 2.5mm headphone jack, microphone and speaker and fix the true HDSPA speed) would be a M800+
I guess next year we will have awesome devices.
Please let me know when can I buy the M800 so that I can do a review
Hi Xavier
I am not too sure when the X800+ or the M800 or M800+ will arrive. If we based it on past releases, then the X800+ should come out about 6-8 months after the X800. The M800 is slated to be released in Jan 2008 but that is just tentative and nothing has been firmed in that area. The M800+, I am not sure even if such a device will exist because I did not see the M700+.
Specs wise, there have been no news at the moment. But I sure hope that the RAM would be pushed up to 128MB and that the ROM increased to 512MB or 1GB.
Do you think that the M800 will include the latest ROM that was released as Beta for the X800?
Maybe it will have a true HDSPA speed
Hi Xavier
I think by the time the M800 is released, it should have true HSPDA speed. But until that time comes, we will just have to wait and see.
$745.50 in negrielectronics
I ADVISE PEOPLE NOT TO BUY FROM NEGRI THOUGH
The guy is a liar since he sold me Toshiba Portege G900 claiming it “works” with AT&T
Then the bastard wanted to give me an open box price, so that he could sell it again (maybe lying again)
