I-mate Going Under?
It’s not usual for us to report about other manufacturers in the Windows Mobile industry but we thought this was something our readers might be interested in knowing. I-mate, one of the larger OEMs (in my opinion) has put itself up for sale. They claim is was because of chipset shortage over the last quarter that was to blame. It really sounds far-fetched that such a situation can cause such a company to go under. Some suggest that it was due to HTC starting to sell devices on it’s own and eliminating the middleman like I-mate. That sounds more plausible to me. At the moment, nothing is confirmed so stay tuned.
Recharge Your Cellphone Through Body Heat
If things go well, you may soon be able to do just that. Put your phone in your specially built outfit and you’ll never run out of juice. Amazing! According to the developers ” The secret lies in nanowires, or microscopic strands of silicon. Arranged and bent in a particular way, they channel heat energy far more efficiently than current designs for thermoconductors.” I wonder how thick the clothing will be then.
Windows Mobile Phone To Go 1GHz
It would be pretty awesome to have so much juice on your Pocket PC but I wonder how much power that would consume. And if we are still going to be at 64 (or even 128) MB RAM, then the juice might not really bring us to the next level of Pocket PC. Well, it will still be some time to come before we see it in our Pocket PC phones. (Source: msmobiles)
