Currently, it doesn't seem like this application could be a stand along contact manager. If I want to change (for example) the ringtone for a contact, I still need to get to another program (Pocket Informant, for example) to do that update. I think I would use FunContact more if I knew I could get to all the contact info I needed in one program. I definitely prefer the UI to anything else I've seen.

It would also be great if there was a single button to dismiss the screen rathe than going to the menu to choose it... and if I'm exiting, it takes menu/exit/verify, which seems like a lot of steps just to get out.

I've been working with this for a week or so, and one suggestion I'd make is to have two vertical bars (light color, semi-transparent) to show the left and right margins that indicate pick-a-letter-of-the-alphabet (left of the left margin bar, right of the right margin bar) vs the scroll function that covers most of the listing screen. I occasionally still jump to some random part of the alphabet because I try to scroll too far to the right or left.

No complaints on speed and overall appearance.
Wish it can filter contacts based on categories.

Hi, this was the best software that i've used as compare to pocketCM. It's faster, clearer, better design and many more. Just trying my luck, if not i'll intend to buy it after my trial period is over.

it would also be nice to be able to dial right from the phone pad in fun contacts, cant do it on pocket cm either, you can only select from contacts already in the phone. so it would be nice while in the contacts, still be able to just dial a # thats not listed as a contact...cuz the dial pad is nice and big and responds a bit quicker then my standard dial on the phone.

I too have pocket cm right now cuz its free, but i find it very hard to try to touch the tiny abc's on the left of the screen to try to scroll to certain contacts. whats the point of making a touch frindly program if the letters arent big enough to hit? that being said, i hope this new version of fun contacts will avoid that mistake that pocket cm made.

My current contact manager is PocketCM so I will making comparisons to this program.

+ displays more contact info fields than PocketCM
+ can create a new contact and add/edit fields without using WM contact app.
+ smoother scrolling than PocketCM
+ finger scroll direction more consistent to PointUI (which I also use)
- Takes longer to load than PocketCM
- PocketCM doesn't display this either but where's the birthday field?
- No small thumbnails in the contact list screen
