Find out how the Glofiish M800 by Eten fares

Recommended Software

There’s a new ROM file for the X600 but users are still wary of downloading and installing it. At the moment, there are no reports as to how the ROM performs and the only changelog available is in Polish. And judging by the name of the file, it could mean that this ROM was meant for XP users although if you wanted to, you could flash it via an SD card. As usual, this ROM cannot be found on the official Eten site (or Glofiish site for that matter) so it’s authenticity is still questioned. However, considering the filename, it does appear to be legit as as I can tell. I do not have an X600 to try it out and so far have no reports of anyone claiming success. I will update this post as more information comes in. In the mean time, for those of you wanting to give it a go, here are the files:

For those curious, here is the original page containing the files. Thanks to Eten Users Forum for the heads up on this ROM.

If you have an Eten Glofiish X600 and have flashed to the new ROM, do share your experience with us.

Hi Nicolas

At the moment, I think English is the only language available. They would release other languages at a later date.

I just loaded this ROM on my X600 and it works fine. It still can’t see my 4G Patriot sdhc card but everything else seems to work OK.

I couldn’t see the 4G card before the update anyways…

The language is english.

Hi Marius

There is some problems with the SDHC drivers on the Eten Glofiish devices. However, I am not sure if your SDHC card is affected. If possible, do try with another SDHC card and see if the problem continues.

I did fix it.

I reformatted the card on my Canon camera and it just worked after that on my X600.

Thanks,
Marius.

Great to hear. Guess the card needed proper formatting to work. Feel free to ask should any problems pop up.
