Personally I'd need to include Spb Diary and Phone Suite.

One of my "top" apps would be WM5torage.

Hi Xavier

I do agree with you on Microsoft. As for the software, each has their own advantage and disadvantage such that there is a software for everyone.

As for the top bar, well that's the way it's been programmed, you can always close it if it is bothering you.

Ok I will try MemMaid

Tariq regarding the top bar on top of the page, is there any way you can make it NOT follow you when you scroll the page??That is what makes me want to close that always!

I would suggest SK Tracker and SK Tools, both work great for me.I don't know if I need MemMaid with SK Tools, but I'll give it a try.Yeah I somehow agree Microsoft ALWAYS needs a lot of memory

My first and only pocket pc is one Eten M700, there's much I don't like about it but many things can be solved, the GPS is fast and reliable with TomTom but the Wifi and other things could be better.

I do agree with you Tariq on the regular cleanups, those are essential on any windows mobile device, it's not ETEN fault but microsoft and maybe other software programmers, maybe with other mobile OS now competing for the same market they start to improve windows mobile.

Hi Xavier

Well like I said in the post, this list was derived from an algorithm, not by emotions on a certain software because I wanted to get as big a picture as I possibly could. I tracked downloads, ratings and reviews to come up with the list. I do agree that it's not perfect because freeware are at a disadvantage.

That being said, I don't think you understand what MemMaid does. For one, it helps you clear your temp files which is located in the ROM. No matter how much ROM you have, it is bound to get clogged up by useful files over time and MemMaid helps you clear them in a very simple step. It also clears unwanted (dangling) notification, something that affects every user, whether they know it or not, whether they are running 64MB or 128MB of RAM. And it does a whole load of other things as well like completely removing software (unlike the Remove Program feature in some cases). So yeah I would see why MemMaid could be useful to many users.

As for your argument on 64MB RAM, well what can I say? I am pretty happy with my device. I don't get something because it has top specs or is a best-seller. I get something because it works for me. 64MB RAM may be small but my device is functioning great. Maybe it's because I have yet to try a 128MB RAM device from HTC but then again, with their video driver issue, why would I want to get the device now? True there are other brands out there with 128MB RAM but like I mentioned, my GPS works great (locks within 30 seconds most of the time), my device is not slow (I schedule automatic regular cleanups) so why would I spend money getting something new?

Hi brayndeded

eWallet is at number 5 and I guess the reason it's there is because with the amount of personal information that we have to remember with us, it would be much safer to have it on a Pocket PC than pieces of paper.

My name is Xavier Baez and I disagree with Tariq.

Yes, I wrote the Glofiish X800 and seemed like a happy customer, but after spending $1400 in 2 glofiish devices, I decided it was time to switch to another brand.

A former Pocket PC user (LifeDrive which was crappy but fun, and Dell Axim X51V which was AWESOME), I really wanted VGA. I would use a QVGA phone but at 2.8 or (worst) 3.5 (like the upcoming HTC Sedna) I don't know if I'll lika a QVGA product.

One thing is sure, I was tired of the 64MB of RAM. Tariq is happy and I hope you guys have fun, the V900 certainly LOOKS very nice. However, as a PHONE, my Glofiish X800 was very bad, as a GPS it took ages to get the signals, and as a Pocket PC 2 of my last 2 Eten devices were damaged (one the microSD slot, and another one the bluetooth collapsed, and I had to reset the device because it sounded like a blown speaker)

I think that MemMaid is at number 2 only because you have devices with 64MB in RAM. Right now I'm using iMate Ultimate 6150 and it's a simple device, not pretty, but very powerful, I hope it's not an illusion.

I would also like to say that iWindowsMobile is doing a fantastic job (maybe they try to copy iPhone too much, I DON'T LIKE GoodWin to block my device each and every time, I don't need that!!!), so I guess that should be there instead of MemMaid because MemMaid is only good because your hardware is limited.

Nobody that has an HTC will agree with MemMaid been there in number 2

i got spb mobil shell and agenda fusion but find them both too cluttered with alot of stuff i dont really need. i just like a few things on my today screen. i use spb pocket plun and spb time (however i might dump it because the alarms stopped working a few days ago). im surprised to see ewallet at #1, i wouldnt think people would want all that info on a ppc if it get stolen. im sure theres ways to hack it. i really like resco radio too.
