Tariq, just wondering if you are able to use it with your computer? Because if you are, then, I will look into the Plantronics bluetooth headsets. Right now, going through their compatibility guide, it doesn’t even look like there’s anything that will support the Treo 750. And none of the show compatibility with computers. If you have bluetooth support on your computer, could you check if it works? Thanks

Okay, like I said, I’m really most going to use it for Skype calls and don’t want to sound like I’m calling from a computer so the noise canceling aspect isn’t that big, but like I said, my Treo bluetooth headset isn’t great and people I call with that tell me they hear a second delay from their end and I can tell that background sounds get picked up.

I’ll look into the Plantronics.

I am currently using the Plantronics Discovery 640. It’s a pretty old model and while there is noise canceling, it works well based on my needs (since the only time I use a headset is when I am at my desk). If you need noise cancellation, there are other models from them out there worth looking into.

I guess my main requirement is that they do a good job of background noise cancelation so stereo is just something that would be nice but not necessary. I’m also trying to double its use as a Skype microphone as well, since I am now mostly using the Treo bluetooth headset as my wireless bluetooth headset. Maybe I’ll check out Plantronics or Jabra. What models have you tried?

Well there are some stereo ones out there, but I have yet to try any and the main problem I usually hear about such devices is the quality of sound due to drivers on Windows Mobile. Have you tried any from Plantronics or Jabra? They seem to feature better quality headsets.

That’s true. To me, mechanized sound output it good enough if the person is in a noisy environment. I just need to know the content of the conversation.

I think most high end bluetooth headsets, the good ones at least, are around that price range. I do have other cheaper headsets, but they can’t seem to hold up in noisy environments pretty well, even a Plantronics one.

I agree that the 3400mAH battery charger is a great investment. I have the Proporta one (but I’m sure they’re the same). Works great.

As for bluetooth headset, any stereo ones? I have a Treo bluetooth headset and it seems that when calling someone that the other side tends to hear a second lapse from his side and it’s not great a noise cancellation.
