Eten Blog dot Com’s first Developer Series just came to an end and if you have not read it, I urge you to do so. For those of you who have, you’d know that the the developers who participated have decided to donate some prizes as part of series. Unlike other prize giveaway, this time, you can pick any title from the developer’s library (with the exception of Spb where you can choose from 2 great titles). I am going to make it a little more interesting this time around so you have to read carefully.Ready to win some great prizes? Then read on.

How To Take Part?

For this part of the giveaway, you will need to leave a comment. Any comment will do but your comment must be valid which means it must be about the article in question. You can leave one comment or you can leave a hundred comments, the choice is up to you but of course, the more comments you leave, the higher your chances of winning. No registration is required to leave a comment so there’s nothing holding you back from taking part (save yourself that is).

Since I will be contacting the winner via email, be sure to use a valid email address when leaving comments. Otherwise, there is no way for me to contact you.

Duration Of Contest

I was suppose to start this at midnight but since that is not the case, I will push back the deadline. It will still be a 24 hour contest.

Therefore, to take part, your comment(s) must be made between 5pm Eastern Time on February 25th 2008 and 5pm Eastern Time on February 26th 2008.

When Is The Winner Selected?

Immediately after the contest closes, I will randomly choose a winner and he will be notified via email (thus the need for using a valid email address when leaving comments).

There will also be a post announcing the winner on this site so in the very unlikely event that you do not get my email (be sure to check your spam folder as well), you can always double-check back here.

What’s Up For Grab

The prize up for grabs this time around is a title from Spb’s library. You can choose from the following:

So there you have it folks. All you need to know to take part and (hopefully) win this contest. If there’s something you are unclear of, feel free to ask in the comments below (it’ll increase your chances of winning at the same time  )

Note: Your email will not be used for anything other than to inform you that you have won so you have nothing to worry about. It might be passed to the developer in question for them to contact you and give you the prize. That’s all. It will never be used by me in any other way.

So we are now supposed to discuss the first post of the interviews? To be honest, I think that I did the discussion I wanted to do there in the comments on THAT post. Whatever came up in my mind was already posted there so I’m not sure if I should just copy/paste that into here. Or am I not understanding the requirements?

I’d love to win Spb AirIslands, even if I don’t want to play the economy aspects of the game I can still play the minigames.

Nah you got it wrong. It means you just need to leave a comment anywhere on the site, not necessarily on the Developer Series posts. Valid means that the comment has to be associated with the post in question. For example, if you are reading a post on a trick, posting a comment giving suggestions for improving a certain application would not be counted as valid.

Hope that clears things up.

Ah thanks! Makes a lot of sense now, also when compared to the second giveaway which requires a post anywhere on the forum, no matter which topic.

No worries about it buddy.

Wait till you see the other 3 methods for taking part. I don’t want to give too much away right now but I promise you it’s something I have yet to do.
