You must use the a normal SD card, not the newer SDHC cards in the market. And you must format the card in FAT (also called FAT16). Some the oldest microSD cards cannot be read. In such case uninstal SDHC.cab and don't upgrade! (another reason why your card cannot be read is, that you haven't formated your card into FAT16. One option you could try is to install WM5Storage, format the card to FAT and then copy the files over using that application. Once done, do the Flash From Storage Card process and it should get you up and running to the new ROM. The problem I see with ActiveSync transfers is that ActiveSync could have changed the file. The application is located in your /Windows/ folder. See if you can find it there.
