This marks the halfway mark of the prize giveaway as part of the Developer Series. Quick recap for those not aware of what is happening: Eten Blog dot Com’s first Developer Series just came to an end and for those of you who have read it, you’d know that the the developers who participated have decided to donate some prizes as part of series. Unlike other prize giveaway, this time, you can pick any title from the developer’s library (with the exception of Spb where you can choose from 2 great titles). However, I am going to make it a little more interesting this time around so you have to read carefully.Ready to win some great prizes? Then read on.

How To Take Part?

To take part this time around, you will need a BlogCatalog account. It’s free to sign up and once you’ve signed up, just visit Eten Blog as you normally would. Your visit would be registered. You can tell by looking at BlogCatalog’s Recent Viewers which is located towards the bottom of the site.

BlogCatalog Recent Viewer list
Make sure your avatar is seen somewhere in that red box.

That’s all you need to do. No need to leave comments or anything of that sort. Just visit with a valid BlogCatalog account and be one of the 28 avatars shown to qualify. Due to to the nature of how BlogCatalog Recent Viewers works, visits left before the contest started will also be counted as entries.

Duration Of Contest

Like all other giveaways in this series, 24 hours. So that means you have to leave your mark before 2359hrs on February 27th 2008 (Eastern Time).

When Is The Winner Selected?

At 0000hrs on February 28th 2008 (Eastern Time), I will randomly pick a visit from the ones I see on Eten Blog. So your avatar has to be among the 28 I see on the screen for it qualify. If you visited earlier and 28 other BlogCatalog users visit you after that, your avatar will be knocked out and you’ll need to visit again to qualify.

I will leave a message on the winner’s BlogCatalog page. On top of that, there will also be a post announcing the winner so you can double check.

What’s Up For Grab

This time around, you get to pick from DinarSoft’s library of titles which include:

So there you have it folks. All you need to know to take part and (hopefully) win this contest. If there’s something you are unclear of, feel free to ask in the comments below.

This one is not for me, even though I’d love to win something from Dinarsoft.
Midnight for you is late night / early morning for me so I’m not a my laptop at that time.

Good luck to those who participate!

Who knows? It all depends on how many people actually have an account :D

Hold on - that top bar of the two? The one with only one visit from today, and the other from 13 days ago?

I’m siging up right away! This isn’t as impossible as I thought. ;)

Yup that’s right. But I will be taking all the avatars that I see (28 of them), so even if someone visited from days/weeks back, they would qualify.

Oh yeah it was random, not just the last one. Forgot about that! Would be cool if someone from 2 months ago would win without even knowing that this contest was running.

Hmm I signed up but I have to paste some stuff on my blog to link back to them, and I can´t add such a widget with a free Wordpress account. :(
So if they can’t verify that I’m an existing user, it might not work. We´ll see, at the moment of typing this I´m not showing up on the bottom bar yet.

Even without doing the verification mentioned above, I did get an e-mail saying that my registration is pending. Let me quote the e-mail:
If you feel this submission was made in error please contact us at webmaster@blogcatalog.com.
Otherwise, your submission will be reviewed within 48 hours.
If you need to make any changes to your submission, you may do so by logging into your Blog Catalog Account at http://www.blogcatalog.com/blogs/manage_blog.html.
After your blog has been reviewed you will receive an e-mail containing further instructions.
So perhaps this is not a contest you can enter in a day without having an account already, since it might take 48 hours to get an account?

Hmmm. Thanks for pointing that out. I did not realize this. I guess only those who have an account will be able to participate.
