Top Commentators Of February 2008

I know it’s not the end of February 2008 yet but the prize giveaway for the top 3 commentators was to end at 12.00pm Eastern Time on February 28th 2008. It was a great competition and I am really happy with how it turned. Thanks to all who participated.
The competition starter out with PJMDS having a clear lead over the rest and at a point, spmwinkel and maceyr were trading second and third places. It got really interesting when a spammer assumed maceyr’s nick which added to her post count. Then, at the last week, spmwinkel managed to get within striking distance of PJMDS and I thought it was going to be a fight to the finish but I guessed wrong. Which brings me to the list of winners.

As you can see from the screen shot above, PJMDS wins first prize with 95 comments. spmwinkel is a close second with 94 comments and maceyr rounds up the top 3 with 60 comments. Notable mention too to Xavier Baez and melvynadam with 10 comments each but I’m sorry guys, no prizes for you

I can’t remember wining something on the internet except maybe knowledge and virtual friends, internet for me is mostly about loosing

Yay! Cool, basically EtenBlogDotCom now gives me any game/application of choice, considering a average price of $20.

Hi spmwinkel, my PocketPC software isn’t very good, it’s made in visual basic and I know that I’m not even good at it, my code has lots of bugs and very low eficiency
Check http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/virtuallabs , they let you do software in a virtual enviroment for free, it’s very cool, thanks microsoft.
Regarding this blog I think the same has spmwinkel, I wish the best for Tariq and ETEN BLOG
That IS pretty nice of Microsoft! They must make enough money with Office to be able to offer that for free.

Sorry about being late in commenting. I am a bit busy and dealing with a persistent cough that probably isn’t going away until late spring. Congratulations are in order for PJMDS and spmwinkel! And it’s very nice to see that others are participating here.
PJMDS, you must be kidding when you said that I know more about the PPC world than you, considering that you are a PPC programmer. I’m still very much a PPC newbie but maybe an intermediate Palm user, but I’m trying to learn.
How did I enjoy it? Very. It was definitely a lot of fun, especially in the beginning when there was a race between the three of us. But, once I stopped commenting, it was no doubt that I couldn’t stay with the rest of you. But it’s a lot of fun. I really didn’t do this for the prize but just for the fun.
I think with regards to the contest, I would probably opt for a software prize instead of monetary prize but that is me.
