RIM Patents QWERTY Slider
What were they thinking, I really do not know. RIM has gone ahead to patent a device that has a QWERTY sliding keyboard which is very similar to some Pocket PC models like the HTC Wing and Eten Glofiish M700. Are they planning to patent it and then charge these Pocket PC manufacturers a licensing fee or do they have something totally different in mind? Let’s just hope it’s not another sue-you-sue-me game that would prevent our favorite phones from reaching our shores. [via BlackBerry Cool]
AGEphone Mobile 2 Released
If you need a great VoIP solution for your Windows Mobile device, look no further than AGEphone. Why is it so great you ask? For one, ‘AGEphone Mobile 2 offers several special functions such as the capability to use multiple VoIP services at once, essentially making yourself accessible through multiple phone numbers. It also introduces a Provider QuickSwitch with which the user can switch between his VoIP services by simply pressing a key or tapping the screen. This allows fast and easy selection of the most suitable service when placing a call - the best choice is just a click away.’ How awesome is that? It’s gonna set you back $30 but for those who use VoIP a lot, it might be money well spent. [via msmobiles.com]
Mobile Firefox Coming Out Year End?
If that’s what this report is suggesting, the Mobile Firefox may be the last of the most-anticipated-browsers to be released. If that is the case, it might have a hard time gaining popularity, especially if the soon-to-be-released Opera Mobile 9.5 meets our expectations. Then again, there’s no news as to when SkyFire and Iris browser would be released. [via PC World]
Eten Glofiish Review Coming Up
Well it depends on when you read this article but the month of March comes in 3 hours (where I’m at anyway) and that means a whole new series. For those unaware, I will be doing a review kind of series on the Eten Glofiish M800 for March 2008. Since there are 5 Saturdays for March 2008, the series will be broken up into 5 parts. Stay tuned!

Interesting about the RIM QWERTY patent. I wouldn’t rule out that RIM could do what was done to them but I am hoping that this patent is something more exciting. But time will tell.
I just wished they would stop all the suing and get back to making great devices for the consumers.
