Find out how the Glofiish M800 by Eten fares

One of the things that really bothered me about the Eten Glofiish M800 is the touch-sensitive buttons. It’s a great device but those buttons are really sensitive to the touch such that when you brush against them, they activate the various applications tied to them. Which can be really troublesome at times. Even I got irritated with it during my first couple of days with the device but after a while, I got used to it and altered my handling of the device. But there was an alternative all along, something which I was not aware off.

Thanks to Shane (in a comment that he posted), it is actually possible for you to disable soft touch buttons and enable them just as easily. All you need to do is press the Record button 2 times quickly to enable/disable them.

If I still had the device, that is what I would have done. Disabling them would make the device easier to handle and you do not have to worry about accidentally activating applications. And when I need to use them, a quick 2 button press of the Record button will enable them once again.

So all you Glofiish M800 users, be it potential or current, be sure to take note of this. And read the quick guide to get to know your device better
